The Peddars Way
The Peddars Way (National Trail) starts in Suffolk at Knettishall Heath Country Park and follows the route of a Roman road to Holme-next-the-Sea on the north Norfolk coast. On its route it passes through unique Brecks and forest, heath and low river valleys, rolling open farmland.
Much of the Peddars Way is open to cyclists and there is a special route available for horse riders. The gentle terrain of the Trail makes it also particularly suitable for people with special access needs. 
The Peddars Way passes along the edge of Thompson, making the Chequers an ideal stopping point for refreshment, food and overnight accomodation for those travelling the Peddars Way.
