Chequers How to find us
The Chequers Inn is tucked away in the picturesque village of Thompson which is 18 miles south-west of Norwich in the heart of Breckland. Thompson is 8 miles north of Thetford and 3 miles south of Watton and accessible via the A1075.
All three approaches to the village are quiet country lanes off of the A1075. We recommend using the Griston Road to Thompson.
Continue on the A1075 until you reach the Griston/Thompson cross roads. If travelling on the A1075 from Thetford it is the second left turning signposted for Thompson, and if from Watton it is the third right turning for Thompson.
Remain on the Griston Road until you pass the Thompson village signs, the Chequers Inn driveway can be found on your right.
The pub sign is clearly visible at the driveway entrance and is approx 100m after the Thompson village signs and 100m before you get to the village green crossroads.
Please note, the country lanes leading to Thompson are narrow and walkers, cyclists, horse riders and deer are common.
Please drive slowly and carefully.
